Sumatran tiger - Taronga Zoo
I love animals! I remember when I was young some of my favourite shows on TV were National geographic and nature shows. I love watching David Attenborough and Steve Irwin. I remember back in high school I loved studying about animals and biology was one of my favourite courses. Maybe I should have considered becoming a naturalist or a zoologist. Hehe. Unfortunately my studies in University and the stress it caused did drive me away from the things that I once loved. I'm looking deeper into myself to find out the things that I truly love and bring me comfort and warmth. Animals remind me of myself. My curiosity in the world. The greatness of a nation and it's moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated. Lot's of people talk to animals but not many listen, that's the problem.
This photo of a Sumatran tiger was taken at Taronga zoo in Sydney. The zoo has five tigers that hold 1% of the world's Sumatran tiger population. Thinking about it gives me chills, as it is estimated that there are fewer than 400 Sumatran tigers remaining in the world. Tigers are one of my favourite animals. Enjoy : )
